The Yoga Therapy class is for anyone who seek an holistic approach to healing as well as a natural support to their existing treatment. It is for people would like to find relief from tension in their body and calm a busy, thought filled mind.

This class is most suitable for people with back pain due to poor posture and weak backs, recovery from breast surgery or other physical limitations, heart conditions, diabetes, weight loss, depression, anxiety ... Yoga practice in this class is slow and gentle and the focus is on tension release, lengthening and strengthening, break work and relaxation. We do mainly floor work and use support (bolsters, blankets, straps, block etc...) to assist the body into the postures as needed.

Yoga therapy is conducted in one-on-one sessions and small classes. Although it can be challenging, it is also gentle and nurturing. Yoga practice involves focus on awareness, and relaxation. The approach is hands-on, tailored program for individual needs which will have a home practice component along with cleansing practices (Kriyas), and diet changes when appropriate.
