Class Description                                                                 IF YOU ARE NEW...

 

BEGINNERS COURSE: (foundation classes) regardless of your fitness this course is suitable if you are new to yoga, have little experience, if you wish to start again after a long break or if you have just started yoga and would like to fast track and deepen your understanding.   Starting dates & info

 

LEVEL 1: Requires some yoga experience. You need to know basic alignment & basic poses which are taught in our Beginners Course.

LEVEL 2: For experienced practitioners. Requires a minimum of 2 years regular practice. (headstand, backbends, arm balance poses) 

LEVEL 3: For experienced practitioners. You need to book before attending this class. This class is NOT suitable for people with medical conditions, injuries or back problems. (deep backbends, arm balance poses. Inverted poses are held 5 to 10 minutes). Casual attendance is not available, you need a current term pass. 

LUNCH TIME: Open to all levels. More info

HATHA 60+: Suitable if you have no yoga experience and students who may prefer a slower pace.

Most suitable for students who would not be able to attend other classes due to physical limitations
(injuries, osteoarthritis, knee, back and wrist problems and weaknesses). More info click here 

YIN YOGA: Yin Yoga is a meditative form of yoga practice that offers deeper access to the body. Mainly floor work, each pose is held 3 to 5 minutes. An excellent practice to release muscles tightness, to improve joint mobility and to deeply calm the mind. This class is for everyone!

ASHTANGA VINYASA: (Suitable for Level 1 and above) The emphasis is on breath, strength & movement. Hatha Yoga is practiced moving through a sequence of postures, which are linked together using Ujjayi breath. Regular practice develops cardio-vascular fitness & muscular strength. Students are led through the Primary Series and we move together at the same pace. 90 minutes duration. 

RESTORATIVE: Work off tightness and stress with this slower pace Hatha class, with a focus on restoring, releasing stress & tension from the mind and the body, using props to facilitate longer holds while relaxing deeply and stretching. This class is suitable for all levels of practice and will leave you calm, grounded, uplifted, energised and relaxed!

DEEP RELEASE: Recalibrate your mind with some peaceful time. This class is for anyone wanting to release mental/emotional tension, if you need to spend some quiet time with yourself and re-center. Format for this class includes gentle stretches, breathing, relaxation & meditation.

MEDITATION COURSE & END OF TERM PRACTICE:  Starting dates & info

POSTNATAL: For new mothers & their babies. Suitable 1 month post-partum &  2 months for c-section birth. More Info
