CLASS DETAILS

BEGINNERS COURSE: This week-end intensive course is suitable if you are new to yoga or if you wish to start again after a long break or if you have just started yoga and would like to fast track and deepen your understanding. Class numbers are kept small to ensure individual focus & personal instruction. This course will introduce you to basic yoga poses, breathing & relaxation. You will learn how to use the props for your own needs and learn about the benefits of yoga postures. Each session ends with deep relaxation. On completion you can move to Beginners, Level 1. THIS COURSE IS NOT A PREREQUISITE FOR BEGINNERS OR LEVEL 1 CLASSES. See Beginners Course.

GENTLE Hatha: Suitable if you have no yoga experience and students who may prefer a slower pace. Also suitable for students who would not be able to attend other classes because of physical limitations (injuries, osteoarthritis, knee, back and wrist problems and weaknesses)

BEG Hatha (Beginners): If you have no yoga experience or prefer a slower pace.

LEVEL 1 Hatha/Iyengar (Beginners): For beginners and if you have no yoga experience.

LEVEL 2 Hatha (General): Suitable if you have a minimum of 2 years regular practice. (headstand, backbends, arm balance poses)

LEVEL 2 Flow (General): The class is led through a sequence of poses, flowing from one pose to the next on the breath. A new sequence is presented weekly with a different focus e.g.: backbends, hip openers, forwards etc...

LEVEL 3 (Intermediate): Suitable if you have been training regularly for at least 3 years. You need to book before attending this class. This class is NOT suitable for people with medical conditions, injuries or back problems. (deep backbends, arm balance poses. Inverted poses are held 5 to 10 minutes)

ASHTANGA: The emphasis is on breath, strength & movement. Hatha Yoga is practiced moving through a sequence of postures, which are linked together using deep breathing. Regular practice develops cardio-vascular fitness & muscular strength. You need to have some yoga experience to attend these classes. Students are led through the Primary Series and all move together at the same pace. 90 minutes duration. Open to Level 2 & 3 students. BOOKING REQUIRED.

YOGA THERAPY: This program includes group, private session, individual program and home practice. These classes are most suitable for people with conditions such as heart conditions, diabetes, anxieties , recovering from surgery, and other health issues. Yoga practice in this class is slow and gentle, mainly floor work. The focus is on healing, breath work, relaxation and specific yoga practice. Booking is required.
