CLASS DETAILS

BEGINNERS COURSE: This week-end intensive course is suitable if you are new to yoga or if you wish to start again after a long break. Class numbers are kept small to ensure individual focus & personal instruction. This course will introduce you to basic yoga poses, breathing & relaxation. You will learn how to use the props for your own needs and learn about the benefits of yoga postures. Each session ends with deep relaxation. On completion you can move to Level 1 or 2.

LEVEL 1 (Beginners Level): For beginners or students who may prefer a slower pace. Suitable if you have no yoga experience.

LEVEL 2 (General Level): If you have completed an introductory course or have a minimum of 3 months of regular practice.

LEVEL 3 (Intermediate Level): More challenging. Suitable if you have been training regularly for at least 3 years. Need to book. This class is NOT suitable for people with medical conditions, injuries or back problems.

ASHTANGA: The emphasis is on breath, strength & movement. Hatha Yoga is practiced moving through a sequence of postures, which are linked together using deep breathing. Regular practice develops cardio-vascular fitness & muscular strength. You need to have some yoga experience to attend these classes.

Saturday Class: Students are led through the Primary Series and all move together at the same pace. 90 minutes duration. Open to Level 2 & 3 students.

GENTLE YOGA: This class is most suitable for people with back pain due to poor posture & weak backs, recovery from breast surgery or other physical limitations. Yoga practice in this class is slow and gentle, mainly floor work. The focus is on tension release, lengthening and strengthening, healing, breathing and relaxation. Your 1st class can be attended casual. A minimum 5 classes Pass is required afterwards. Booking is required. See Gentle Yoga


Postnatal Yoga with Bub: For new mothers & their babies. Suitable 1month post-partum & 2 months for c-section birth. See details in "PowerBirth".
