INVERSIONS

Inversions demand a high level of concentration, balance, and core strength. When executed correctly, they enhance circulation, promote lymphatic drainage, and improve mental clarity. Our practice emphasises precision and alignment, as these poses require careful attention to detail.

Overcoming fear and building strength can be achieved through gradual progression and the use of props for support and stability. Strength can be developed through poses like Downward Dog, Plank and Boat, which enhance core and upper body strength. The leg engagement and alignment learned in standing poses will naturally translate to inversions. Consistent practice and persistence are key to progress.

Inversions not only build core but also enhance flexibility in the hips, shoulders, wrists, hands, legs, and trunk. Poses like Headstand and Shoulderstand offer mental, emotional, and physiological benefits, making them both challenging and exhilarating.

These workshops are designed for students with a regular practice who are eager to deepen their understanding and improve their inversion skills. They provide an opportunity to explore and learn various methods to enter these postures, both with props and independently.

We highly encourage students from Experience classes and Level 1 practitioners looking to advance their inversion practice to participate.

Familiarity with prep work is essential for participants.
