ONE PRACTICE. MANY BENEFITS.

Look no further. Yoga supports the whole of you.

Regardless of the class you choose, yoga works on multiple levels—
physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

Whether you seek peace, clarity, balance, recovery, strength, or flexibility,
you will benefit in more ways than you expect.

If you are new to our studio and not familiar with the Iyengar method, we highly recommend starting with our Beginners class if you have little or no experience, or Level 1 if you have some experience. These classes will help you familiarise yourself with our teaching approach and the use of props.

Level 1 class at Hills Yoga Kim in Marichi 3

Level 1: Thursdays 7.00 - 8.15 pm & Fridays 10.00 - 11.15 am

An all-round class for students with some experience & ideal for those upgrading from our Begin class.  You need to know alignment for basic standing and seated poses.

We practise standing, seated poses (twists, lateral moves & forwards) and basic backbends, as well as the foundation for inversions (shoulder stand, handstand, forearm balance & headstand) and alternatives when students cannot practise them.

Level 1 provides the groundwork to progress your practice in a safe way and prepares you for our Experienced class.

Experienced: Mondays & Wednesdays 7.00 -8.30 pm

This class includes handstand, headstand and shoulder stand, with or without support, alongside strong standing poses and refined asana work.

This class is for experienced students who have a clear understanding of alignment and preparation— especially with inversions, prop setup, and the alternatives we use when inversions are not appropriate. Because our teaching is based on precise alignment and specific prop work, students at this level are expected to be largely independent in their setup and modifications.

The emphasis is on preparatory intelligence, structural integrity, intensity with awareness, and mindful refinement. This class develops strength, clarity, confidence and disciplined focus.
